Cosmetic Eyebrow Process
-
1. Consultation + Design
Consultation is key! We’ll go through your pre-care form you’ve completed prior, discuss your current concerns and desires. I’ll explain the procedure and aftercare thoroughly, so this is a great opportunity to ask any questions. Eyebrow technique, colour & shape will be determined based off consultation and facial features (using brow mapping techniques), skin type & tone.
We’ll proceed when we are both 100% happy with the proposed shape and colour.
-
2. Getting started
I’ll gently sketch your brow outline into the skin with pigment which ensures a really clean, kept shape. This sensation can feel a little scratchy but totally tolerable and lasts just a few minutes. Next up, numbing! I’ll check in with you throughout treatment to ensure comfort. Most of my clients however do fall asleep!
-
3. Tattooing
Once you are comfortable I’ll start to softly layer pigment into the skin, gradually building depth and colour.
-
4. The Reveal
The big reveal, my favourite part. After 1-2 hours you’ll see your beautiful new eyebrows and seeing your face light up is so rewarding!
Eyebrow Healing process
Your eyebrows will go through a healing phase & will be fully healed between 4-6 weeks, which is when you will return for your perfecting touch up session.
-
Day 1-4
The day after your treatment & for a few days the colour will appear darker as it begins to heal.
-
Day 5-7
After approximately 5-7 days your brows will be at the flaky stage... Do NOT pick, scratch or pull, this will pull pigment out of the skin & cause scar tissue damage, resulting in patchy brows & skin that cannot be implanted with pigment at the perfecting touch up session.
-
Day 8-13
Once flaking is complete, there will still be a nearly invisible layer of skin. This will make your colour appear faded. Within the first two weeks of flaking you will notice some of the colour coming back through as the skin continues to repair itself. It is normal to see a few strokes or pigment fade and even disappear from the skin.
-
Day 14-28
Flaking should be cleared up by now. Brows may be a little patchy but we have a better understanding of how they are looking and what refinements are needed for your touch up.
-
Day 42
After your 42 days of healing you can come back to get your touch up. The touch up is to go over the strokes or shading again, replace any pigment that may have disappeared and potentially go slightly darker as we can add but not take away. Your touch up will ensure the longevity of your color. Your touch up appointment should be no longer than 12 weeks after your initial appointment.
